New from Toronto!

Hey everyone!

I purchased my black CB300R last July. Itís my first motorcycle and it has been wonderful getting into this world. I was one of the first owners in Ontario, got it a week after it hit showrooms here last year. Nice to meet yíall!

Thinking about the TREX tail tidy and Akrapovic exhaust as mods over the winter. Any opinions?

Congrats!

I hope you're planning to get sliders and other essential gear before moving on to the fun stuff.

Thanks! Yes absolutely. Any recommendations? Doesn’t seem to be a large market (yet) given that this is a new generation. I’ve seen that TRex has some frame guards, any others?

Most CB300R owners I spoke to suggest T-Rex or R&G, which is generally what owners of other bikes also shop with.

Personally, T-Rex is what I would get.

Puig is another one that's said to be reputable.

Hi and welcome! I have a 2020 in Matte Pearl Blue. Are you using any special cleaning product for your Matte Gray tank? Just wondering what to use when it's time for a wash.

Not really, I’m using a regular automotive shampoo (Mother’s) and a microfibre wash mitt. The manual says not to wax or use any product on the matte colour so I just don’t apply anything on the coat.

Also I’m sure the blue looks phenomenal I don’t think we have it in Canada yet. Awesome!

Good morning all! I am also the proud new owner of a 2019 CB300R! I've had it about a month, went with the black and silver, and it's my first bike too. Been having a lot of fun and staying safe out there. I also read that any kind of wax shouldn't be used on the matte plastic parts. I see that ArmorAll makes an exterior matte finish protectant, that looks promising. I'm gonna give that a try, hopefully it won't stain!

Welcome and let us know how it goes! For what it’s worth I have not had any finish issues with mine without the use of a protectant.

Thanks, Bassface. I've read that too but thought I'd ask! Just got mine about a month ago. No mods yet but I think I'll replace the clutch and brake levers first.
